Gummadi Narsayya was an Indian political leader and a prominent figure of the CPI (ML) New Democracy party.

He was elected five times as an MLA from the Yellandu (Illandu) constituency.

He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly during 1983–1994 and 1999–2009.

In all elections, he contested as an independent candidate.

He earned a special reputation as a “people’s man” among the constituency residents.

He was defeated in the 2009 elections by a Telugu Desam Party candidate.
