He had foretold about his own future, saying, “I will not live beyond 40 years,” and indeed he passed away at the age of 39.

Even a few days before his death, he continued meditation and teaching.

He never directly participated in politics, but he infused national spirit among Indian youth.

While establishing the Ramakrishna Mission, his aim was not just religious preaching, but also promoting education, service, and self-confidence.

He often suffered from serious illnesses such as diabetes, asthma, and insomnia.

His main message was:
